Museum De Lakenhal acquired a rare Self Portrait by the Leiden 'fijnschilder' (Fine Painter) Jan van Mieris (1660-1690). The acquisition was supported by the Rembrandt Association, partly with the support of her BankGiro Loterij Aankoopfonds and Theme Fund 17th Century Paintings, and the Mondrian Fund. As from 2 July, the painting is on display in the museum.
