The museum is the ideal place to tell stories. In the presentation of our collection, seven stories are key. For example, Leiden's illustrious past is highlighted in the collection presentations, including The Siege and Relief of Leiden (1574) and Seven Centuries of ‘Leids Laken’. Read all the key stories about art, craftsmanship and history and learn about the history of the city of Leiden.
In the museum, you can admire highlights by old masters like Lucas van Leyden, Rembrandt van Rijn and Jan Steen, as well as modern artists like Theo van Doesburg, Jan Wolkers and Erwin Olaf. Learn about some of the top pieces from our collection and then come and admire them in the museum.
