Public domain is a term used to indicate that works are no longer protected by copyright and related rights. In the EU, this is the case when the maker has been deceased for at least 70 years. In that case, there is no rightful claimant and there is no permission needed to use the work.
Opticaprent met de voorstelling van de groentenmarkt en het stadhuis van München, aan de Marienplatz. Links is het stadhuis van de stad te zien, met ervoor een groot plein. Op het plein bevindt zich een groentemarkt en er is een intense activiteit met ruiters, koetsen, karren op wielen, en vele kopers en verkopers. Rechts staat de toren met de poort. Onder de prent staat de titel in het Latijn en het Frans. Geheel linksonder staat het nummer "Y 2". Niet gesigneerd. De prent is met de hand ingekleurd.
