Can I buy a ticket in the museum?
Yes, tickets are available online as well as in the museum. We recommend that you buy your tickets online to avoid long queues.

How and when do I receive my online ticket?
After your order has been paid for and completed, you will receive a confirmation email including your e-ticket(s) as PDF attachment(s) within a few minutes. Should I print my ticket?
You can either print your tickets or display them on your smartphone.

When is my ticket valid?
Your ticket states the date on which your ticket is valid. Did you buy a gift ticket without a date? Gift tickets are valid for 1 year from the date of purchase.

Can I still change my purchase?
No, unfortunately, a purchase cannot be changed. Tickets cannot be returned or exchanged.

I have a pass that gives me free access to the museum. Should I still generate an online ticket?
No, with a valid membership card from Museumkaart, Vriendenvereniging VBL, Lucas van Leyden Mecenaat, American Friends or Museum De Lakenhal, Rembrandt Association, ICOM or BankGiro Loterij VIP, you do not need a ticket. Take your membership card with you to the museum and have it scanned at the box office.

Do I need a ticket for my child under the age of 18?
No, they have free access to the museum. Please note that you are required to identify them when asked to do so.

Can I buy tickets online for a group?
You can buy tickets online for a group of up to 15 people. Are you coming with more people? Check out the information about group visits.

Can I visit the museum with a wheelchair/pram?
The building is for the most part accessible to people with reduced mobility or with a pram. A special map is available, showing the most convenient route through the building. Read more about the accessibility of the museum.
