Due to corona measures Museum De Lakenhal is temporarily closed. As soon as we reopen we'll let you know. It will then also be possible to buy tickets again. All planned activities in the museum are temporarily postponed.

Can I already book tickets for later in the year?
As soon as we reopen you can buy tickets again. Until then unfortunately not.
I have already purchased a ticket. Will I get my money back?
Yes. If you have bought a ticket, we will automatically refund the amount paid to your account. If you have used a Museum Card or other card for the ticket, this reservation will automatically expire.
Will current exhibitions be renewed?
Currently, there are two temporary exhibitions: Claudy Jongstra (through February 28) and Déjà vu (through February 21). We are investigating whether the exhibitions can be extended. As soon as we know more you will read about it here.
I want to follow or support Museum De Lakenhal during the closure, what can I do?

About online tickets
How do I gain access to the museum?
We will be working with walk-in hours to ensure an optimal distribution of visitors. Access can only be gained with an online ticket. This also applies to people with a Museumkaart and other membership card. Unfortunately, this means that, for the time being, spontaneous visits are not possible.
Can I come by spontaneously and buy a ticket at the cash register?
Unfortunately, that is not possible for the time being. You will only be admitted to the museum if you have booked an online ticket in advance.
I have a Museumkaart, a free entrance ticket or another membership card that gives me free entrance. Do I still need to book an online ticket?
Yes. This is the only way we can ensure an optimal distribution of visitors. Make sure to bring your Museumkaart, free entrance ticket or other membership card with you to the museum!
I am a friend or patron of the museum. Do I still need to book an online ticket?

About our time slots
How do I gain access to the museum?
We will be working with time slots to ensure an optimal distribution of visitors. Access can only be gained with an online ticket. This also applies to people with a Museumkaart as well as other membership cards. Unfortunately, this means that, for the time being, spontaneous visits are not possible.
What is a time slot?
The use of time slots allows us to optimally distribute the number of visitors during the day and in the rooms. You may enter at any time during your time slot and you may stay in the museum for as long as you like. In order to avoid queues at the entrance, please do not come to the museum before the start of your time slot.
About our additional measures
Can I visit the museum if I have a cold?
Unfortunately, no. In line with the national measures, we would ask you to stay at home in that case. We’ll see you again when you are all better.
What hygiene measures have been taken inside the museum?
We will provide additional cleaning of contact points and touch surfaces, such as door handles, toilets, taps, lockers and ATMs. Inside the museum, there are several places where you can find disinfecting hand gels. We also provide gloves. And our employees also have other protective equipment at their disposal.
Do I have to wear a face mask during my visit?
We have responded to the urgent advice of the government to wear a face mask in public indoor spaces. We therefore kindly ask you to wear a face mask inside the museum.
Can I pay cash at the museum?
For reasons of hygiene, we ask that everyone pay with debit card.
