Public domain is a term used to indicate that works are no longer protected by copyright and related rights. In the EU, this is the case when the maker has been deceased for at least 70 years. In that case, there is no rightful claimant and there is no permission needed to use the work.

Stalenboek van de Leidsche Katoen Maatschappij te Leiden. Het boek bevat een zwarte omslag met een etiket waarop geschreven staat "27 Badjoe Prints Rangoon". In een blad, dat in vijftien delen uitvouwbaar is, staan op ieder deel vijf genummerde stalen gelijmd, genummerd met getypte nummers op etiketten. De stalen zijn van imitatie-batik met klein stip- of bloemdessin.
