Activities to the exhibition David Bailly: Time, death and vanity

10 March until 2 July 2023

Lakenhal Late & Museum Night

Come to the museum every second Friday of the month between work and the pub for a hefty dose of inspiration and knowledge! During Lakenhal Late, visit our exhibitions between 19.00 and 22.00 and enjoy an in-depth programme of lectures, flash tours, workshops, performances, and more. Keep an eye on the website for our current programme.

There will be no Lakenhal Late in June, but there will be the 15th edition of the Leiden Museum Night! Which will take place on the 3rd of June. During Museum Night, the entire museum will be open, and you can take part in all kinds of activities, with the overarching theme of 'Inside Out'. More information about the programme and ticket sales will follow soon.

Lecture series

In preparation of the exhibition, we joined forces with various experts for an extensive study of David Bailly and his work. In this series of lectures, which we are organising in collaboration with Studium Generale, these experts will take you through the latest insights and questions about this exceptional painter from Leiden.
